WE PARADE WITH SOME PROUD FRENCH EX-SERVICEMEN |
2006 found THE RIFLES on the Somme battlefields with our parent organisation the Great War Society. For six days
we traveled around the sites of the action and took part in numerous commemoration activities. It was a very tiring
and moving week, and one we will never forget.

As part of our visit to Belgium to commemorate the battle of Passchendaele, we stopped off to lay wreaths at the Kings
Royal Rifle Corps Memorial at Hooge. We were honoured to have the RBL Somme Branch Standard Bearer take part in our ceremony.

THE RIFLES were very pleased to be asked to form the WW1 guard of honour at the rededication of Coventry's magnificent
war memorial.
